Choir Ministry
Dear Choir Ministry,
First of all, I want to thank you for your time and effort in serving our Lord through the Choir ministry. I know that it can be a sacrifice to rehearse Wednesday evenings following a long day. I truly appreciate your service to the Lord and our church family.
In recent months, we have experienced a sharp decline in faithful attendance to choir rehearsal on Wednesday evenings. In some cases, this decline involves total absence from the Wednesday evening service, and in others, it only involves missing rehearsal. The number of people on stage to sing in the Choir during Sunday morning worship looks vastly different from rehearsal on Wednesday evening. I want us to work together toward seeing a significant change in this decline. There is clearly a disconnect between wishing to sing in the choir on Sunday’s and wishing to commit to Wednesday evening rehearsal.
I, in no way, wish to further discourage anyone within this ministry; I want to help any way that I can to see our Choir flourish. I have created an anonymous Survey that I want everyone within the Choir to fill out. Please be honest and forthcoming with any and all challenges you face concerning faithfulness to rehearsals.
We are looking to make some changes that will be less demanding. I feel that the current schedule for rehearsals is not so much demanding, as it is inconvenient, with the time of the evening that it takes place.
I believe if we work together through feedback and discussion, we can see significant progress in the right direction for our choir. Please, please, please take a few moments to fill out the survey and we will meet soon to discuss ways of improvement. Please, be open and honest with any and all struggles or challenges, so long as you have any.
Galatians 6:9– “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Thanks for your help.
In His Service,
Pastor Ancel
